A letter from the NWW Member States Group, endorsed by the NWWAC, was sent to the EC to outline the results of the two joint workshops (NWWAC/NWW Member States Group) on mechanisms to mitigate the risks of species choking the fisheries in North Western Waters and to recommend that discussions take place at the highest political level to find solutions for high-risk choke scenarios.
